United Kingdom Jets Intercept Drones as Middle East War Escalates
British Defense Secretary, John Healey, has said that the country has significantly boosted its military presence in the Middle East in support of the UAE and Gulf allies. British jets based in Qatar and Cyprus have already intercepted drones in Jordan and Bahrain, while the British destroyer HMS Dragon is ready to be deployed in the Mediterranean.
The British have also identified that the drone strike on a British base in Cyprus was actually from Lebanon or Iraq and not Iran. In the US, President Trump has scheduled his first press conference since the war began to address the high fuel prices and the new leadership in Iran. Despite rumors of a gas shortage in the UK, experts have clarified that while the storage of gas is normal for the season, the country will not face a shortage of gas due to the various gas import routes.
